2016…..What a Year!!!

With 2017 just a few days away we would like to take a moment to look back at 2016. Bradford Public Library has had a very exciting year, full of special programs and even more special patrons! We have offered workshops for bakers, wood carvers and leather workers and crafters. Our plant swap taught us how to build a fairy garden.

We saw long time staff members, Linda Moore and Lynn Hart retire. We acquired exciting new computers for our children and tweens, loaded with hundreds of games! Our new digital sign was erected and helps us keep you informed of upcoming events!

Our Summer Reading Program “On Your Mark, Get Set, READ!” was a great success, making sure all from preschoolers to adults got excited about being healthy and fit for life! Two magicians, an end of Summer Olympics, hikes at Stillwater Prairie, bike trips, putt-putt golfing and Lego building are just a few of the activities we offered during the program! Our summer would not be complete without the annual Bluegrass Festival.

We have hosted the CLEAR meetings for our area, allowing local educators and librarians a chance to read and evaluate new picture books. We  had Bradford School Staff come to tour the library and find out what BPL has to offer!

Christmas season ushered in workshops on wreath making and crafting, building Lego Villages and a reader’s theater with Cathy Jones!

2017 looks to be a full year too! We look forward to seeing each of you in the library and serving you in the coming year!

Enjoy the slide show of some of memorable moments!
